|
As you can see
from the photographs in this website, which were all taken last
fall on our 2004 hunt, the Rogers’ Ranch once again more than
lived up to our hunters expectations.
This ranch
encompassing between 4,000 and 5,000 acres is situated in some
of the best hunting the hill country of Texas has to offer.
When you combine that with the fact that over three quarters of
our perimeter fences join neighbors who allow no hunting on
their properties, it creates a very attractive situation to
harvest mature bucks. Although we strictly limit, and are quite
conservative in the harvest on our property, we also have a
reservoir of mature bucks coming across the fence all the time.
On an average, our hunters will see 15 to 20 bucks a day. The
most difficult problem I have on this hunt is keeping my
hunter’s finger off the trigger, and convincing them to be
patient and wait for one of the high end bucks that calls this
ranch home.
Because of our
desire to make sure all of our hunts are extremely good values,
like so many of our other operations, we have priced this hunt
with a base cost for the hunt, plus a harvest fee when the
trophy is collected. This assures our hunters of an outstanding
value for their experience that they have with us.
Last fall, over
a third of our clients that made the hunt with us were folks who
have hunted with us every single year since the beginning of
this project, six years ago, and a second third were also
repeating their hunt at least once.. Because of the high repeat
clientele that we have coming on this hunt every year, booking
well in advance is a necessity.
The Rogers Ranch
is located between Kerrville and Harper, Texas, which is not
much more than an hour from the San Antonio airport. All of the
meals, lodging, and guides are provided. Most of our hunters
stay in our very comfortable lodge, located out on the ranch.
Hunters bringing families with them, will normally sleep at a
motel on the edge of town, however, that is only about 10
minutes away should you be interested in bringing some
non-hunting guests with you.
This hunt is an
excellent opportunity to start a youngster out on his hunting
career. In that the majority of the hunting is done out of
blinds, it enables our hunters to have time to judge the animal,
and secure a good rest in order to make a clean and successful
harvest.
Once your trophy
is collected, we will take care of caping the animal in
preparation for you taking it home, or are more than happy to
deliver it to a local taxidermist who will complete the
preservation of your trophy for you. The meat is also yours to
take home with you, or you can leave it in Kerrville to be
processed and shipped to you later.
Without
question, this will be one of the most enjoyable and productive
hunts of its type that you could go on. We also have numerous
exotics on the ranch, both free ranging as well as access to
other animals living behind a high fence that can provide some
fun and exciting opportunities for our hunters to enjoy while
they are on this whitetail hunt. Those animals are available to
you on just a trophy fee basis.
We ask for a 50%
deposit on the base cost of our hunt to confirm a booking, with
the balance and harvest fees due at the conclusion of the
hunt. The deposit can be made with a check, Visa, or
MasterCard, whichever is most convenient for you.
After you have
had a chance to look this information over, if you have any
further questions, or would like to add your picture in next
year’s brochure as one of our successful hunters, please don’t
hesitate to give us a call.

Texas Mule Deer - Whitetail – Cerf Ranch

|
2004
was a very exciting year for us here at
International Adventures Unlimited, when we
added the Cerf Ranch to our list of offerings to our
clients. Without question, this is one of the premier
Desert Mule Deer hunting ranches in the state of Texas.
There are a few quality whitetails that also call this
ranch home, as well as a strong population of javelinas,
which can provide a unique sub-trophy for a deer hunt in
the fall, or a fun opportunity in the off season for our
clients to come down on a javelina hunt. Having both
species of deer available to our hunters on three of our
hunts, as well as pricing the hunt with a base cost of
the hunt, plus harvest fee, our hunters can custom
tailor a hunt to meet their own expectations and
budget.
The
number of mule deer on this ranch is truly incredible.
Last year our hunters each saw between 30 and 50 bucks a
day while they were hunting mule deer on this ranch.
Hunting for both mule deer and whitetail takes place
from blinds, as well as high seats in four wheel drive
vehicles moving about the ranch. The majority of the
whitetail will be taken from blinds, however, the vast
majority of the mule deer will be taken from the high
seats that allow a hunter to look into the brush as
their elevation makes that visibility possible.
The
Cerf Ranch is located midway between Ft. Stockton and
Sanderson, Texas in a truly rugged, yet beautiful area,
that holds an almost unbelievable population of Desert
Mule Deer. We have a very comfortable lodge located
right on the ranch where all meals and lodging will be
provided for our hunters, as well as quality guides who
are familiar with the ranch and the species, to insure
that you have a most enjoyable and successful hunt.
Predators as well as jack rabbits and quail hunting will
provide our clients with some additional hours of
enjoyment on this ranch if they are interested in that
as well. Special quail hunting opportunities are also
available during the months of January and February.
In
order to maintain the quality of animals that the Cerf
currently has, we will be strictly limiting the harvest
every year, which will necessitate booking this hunt
well in advance to insure a spot the year you want to
go.
We ask
for a 50% deposit on the base cost of our hunt to
confirm a booking, with the balance and harvest fees due
at the conclusion of the hunt. The deposit can be made
with a check, Visa, or MasterCard, whichever is most
convenient for you. The pricing structure that we have
in place guarantees a top value for our clients.
The
above policy applies to both our fall deer hunts, as
well as our off season javelina hunts. We have posted
specific hunt dates for our off season javelina hunt,
however, if at any time a group of six or more are
interested in making that hunt, special dates can be
arranged exclusively for that group. If you have any
further questions or desire to proceed with booking,
please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Kent Creek Ranch

 |
The Kent Creek Ranch which is located north and west of
Leakey, Texas, and less than two hours from San Antonio,
will be providing our clients with some truly unique and
quality hunting experiences this year. The whitetail
hunting on this ranch is part of a Texas Parks and
Wildlife’s Managed Land Deer Program, which allows us to
hunt whitetails from October 2nd through February 28th.
As you will see, one of our hunts actually takes place
after the regular season is closed. This is a post rut
time period when the big bucks seem to be the most
visible. Because of the strict management practices
that have been implemented on this ranch, having the
opportunity to harvest a quality Texas Hill Country buck
is assured.
Our
accommodations are excellent on this ranch, and we
welcome hunters both with gun and bow. The majority of
the hunting is done from blinds, however, stalking is
also a possibility, especially when hunting some of the
tremendous exotics that also call this ranch home. No
where in Texas will you find a higher quality Axis Deer
herd than here at Kent Creek. Axis, Sika, Fallow,
Blackbuck, Wild Hogs, Mouflon and Corsican rams are all
available to our hunters for just a harvest fee while
they are on our whitetail hunt.
Because
of the incredible quantity and quality of Axis deer on
the property, we will also be running two Axis deer
hunts in the spring and summer. Because these animals
are native to India, and the southern hemisphere, they
are in the peak of their rut during this time of year.
Although at any time of the year you may find bucks in
both hard horn and velvet, the majority of the bucks are
hard horned in this spring and summer time period. The
Axis buck is no doubt one of the most beautiful animals
in all of the world, and mounting one in velvet or hard
horn certainly will be one of the focal points of your
trophy room.
As in
years past, the harvest of trophy animals will be
strictly limited in order to guarantee that our clients
will be able to always find animals that more than live
up to their expectations on this truly unique and
quality ranch. We also offer hunts for females of the
species that you see listed on our price sheet that can
provide groups of hunters with a relatively inexpensive
way of filling their freezers, to say nothing of the fun
time they will have.
We do
have our posted hunting schedule dates, however, at any
time groups of six can be accommodated on an exclusive
basis at a time convenient for them if our published
schedule does not work for them. When you have decided
to take advantage of this great hunting opportunity, we
ask for a 50% deposit on the base cost of our hunt, with
the balance and trophy fees payable at the conclusion of
the hunt itself. The deposit can be made with a check,
Visa, or MasterCard, whichever is most convenient for
you. The pricing structure that we have in place
guarantees a top value for our clients.
If you
have any further questions or desire to proceed with
booking, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Stagecoach Ranch

 |
The Stagecoach Ranch, located just north of Rankin,
Texas was hunted by us last fall for the first time in
over a decade. Our hunters enjoyed a most spectacular
experience, collecting some real nice trophies for this
part of Texas.
The hunting takes place primarily out of blinds with
our hunters seeing some real quality bucks because this
ranch has had no hunting pressure for a long time. Each
year we will only take four to six hunters on one hunt
on this 17 square mile ranch.
We will be staying in the town of Rankin, which is
located about 10 minutes from the Stagecoach Ranch.
To assure a top value experience for all of our
hunters, as in the majority of our operations, we will
be pricing this hunt with a base cost of the hunt, plus
a harvest fee when your trophy is collected.
We ask for a 50% deposit on the base cost of our hunt to
confirm a booking, with the balance and harvest fees due
at the conclusion of the hunt. The deposit can be made
with a check, Visa, or MasterCard, whichever is most
convenient for you. Because of the very limited number
of people we will be hosting each year, booking well in
advance will be a necessity.
If you have any further questions or desire to proceed
with booking, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
