In our continual search for outstanding values for our clients, we have partnered with a very large Ranching for Wildlife Project in Northwest Colorado for Mule Deer, Elk, and Antelope.  Under Colorado license number 1642 these guided hunts will be offered to our clients at a price less than what many private landowner permits alone will cost in Colorado.

Ranching for Wildlife Projects are controlled by the state of Colorado, Division of Wildlife where limited numbers of Ranching for Wildlife guaranteed licenses may be obtained without having to go through the lengthy drawing process.  Since control of the harvest is done with limited permits, these Ranching for Wildlife projects set their own season dates which often times are months long and offer the opportunity to hunt these animals with a center fire rifle during the rut when regular public seasons are not open.

Numerous ranches have been put together encompassing a very large area for this hunt.  Kill ratios for bull elk, buck deer, and buck antelope are nearly always 100% unless a hunter turns down trophies looking for that special high end head.  Once again, hunting mule deer and elk with a center fire rifle in the rut is a special opportunity, and even more so hunting elk when they are migrating out of the high mountains down into the low valleys where they will be wintering.  This hunt provides a spectacular opportunity where on some days you can see literally hundreds of elk.  Especially during those times, the harvesting of a good branch antlered bull is assured.

Only small groups are taken at one time, and are guided by a local rancher or a member of his staff.  On these highly affordable, highly productive packages it will be the responsibility of the hunter to secure his own lodging in Craig, Colorado as well as take care of his own meals.  All of this can be accomplished at major and local motels as well as local restaurants.  Your guide will pick you up each morning at your hotel.

Your animal will be taken to a local processor, where it can be either quartered up for your trip home, or processed if time permits as well as the cape taken off in preparation for your trip to the taxidermist.

With private landowner permits being very expensive as an option to applying for licenses for many years, this package will no doubt be one of the most attractive offerings that we will be making available to our clients beginning in 2011.
