In the fall of
2004, my hunters once again had a fabulous time hunting the
Quebec/Labrador Caribou in this sub-arctic region of Northern
Quebec. My hunters harvested many trophy class bulls, last
year, which was the 25th consecutive year that I have hosted my
hunters on this exciting adventure. During the two and a half
decades that I have been taking people on this hunt, I have put
together what I believe to be the best opportunity to hunt these
monarchs of the North.
Each year, my
camp locations and dates change to insure our clients the
highest degree of success. As you may already know, the secret
to my success is the fact that I have many back up locations
available to me, which gives me the flexibility to move should
it become necessary.
We normally fly
our clients into their scheduled camp every year. However, if
at the end of the fourth day it looks like we have misguessed on
one of our locations, we then exercise what we feel to be the
best option available to us to help you collect your trophy.
If it is
necessary for us to move you, we do so at our expense. However,
because of weight limitations on the float plane, you may be
limited to taking one bull instead of two, depending on the
circumstances. Most years, however, no one has moved out of
their scheduled camp and everyone takes home two bulls. But
because no one can completely and accurately predict the caribou
migration, our program offers one of the best opportunities for
a sportsman to collect the Quebec/Labrador sub-species of
caribou.
We will be
operating in several locations again this year during the last
of August, and the first of September. Over the last two and a
half decades, I have found that time period is the best and most
predictable time to hunt caribou, with bugs not being a great
problem then, nor the weather being too severe yet.
We are
technically offering a semi-guided hunt, and staff our camps
with two or three of our personnel, who function as cooks,
taxidermists, and guides to help run the boats, help pack your
caribou, and do whatever is necessary to make your trip an
enjoyable one.
I am not just a
booking agent, who sends you off to some far away place and
hopes you have a good hunt. I will be there personally seeing
to it that these hunts go exactly as I have sold them to you.
This year we are
also offering camps to our clients on a “do it yourself basis”,
where only a camp caretaker will be present to give you a hand.
You can save several hundred dollars on your package if you are
interested in this option.
Nobody can make
any guarantees on this hunt, but I will promise you that no one
will do more to insure your success on this adventure.
After August
25th, the black bear season is open, and should you decide to
purchase a license, and see a bear, it may be harvested as a
bonus to the hunt. This is also a two caribou limit area. I
have no trophy fees on either the first or the second caribou,
nor the bear.
I will also be
providing you with airline approved shipping boxes to facilitate
taking your meat home with you on the airlines.
The charter
flight that takes you from Montreal to our seaplane base will be
met upon your return to Montreal by a butcher, who if you are
interested, will cut, wrap, vacuum pack, and freeze your meat
for your trip home the next day. No matter what, I would suggest
that you plan on spending the night in Montreal and catching
your commercial flight home the next morning.
It may be
possible for you to find someone to take you on this hunt for a
little less money, but I can assure you that you will not be
taken care of to the degree that we will, here at International
Adventures. It is also very easy to spend $2,000.00 more for
this hunt than what we are charging. Those more expensive
operations produce no better caribou than we do, and again in
the 25 years I have been taking people on this hunt, I believe I
have put together the best value that you will find any where.
If your hunt
finishes early, which it often does, all of our camps are
located on excellent fishing waters, and I would suggest
bringing along fishing gear with you on this trip. In the
spring, we send all of our clients a very detailed information
packet to help you prepare for this trip, and answer any last
minute questions.
With us being
willing to accept monthly payments to retire the cost of your
hunt, we make the finances as easy as we can for everyone.
If you have any
further questions, or desire to proceed with booking this
fabulous experience, please don’t hesitate to give me a call.
